Best Western Plus Hotel Mirabeau

Nice room- we paid extra for a room overlooking the lake/garden and so we were not facing the busy street. In retrospect the windows seemed tight enough that it wasn't necessary. When we first arrived- the hotel lobby was blazing hot- they had fans at the reception desk. Our room was hot but eventually we found it cool enough to sleep. A/c in Europe is not what we have in the US. the breakfast was very nice with hot/cold buffet and included in our room price. It was 25 CHF pp if not included. this was the most expensive room we had in Switzerland our entire 3.5 weeks- I liked the proximity to the train station which is why I chose this hotel. There is also a Movenpick nearby which is closer and likely less $. We stayed for 6 nights and the breakfast staff were wonderful- she even knew we wanted double expressos in the morning. This was the most expensive stay of our 3.5 weeks in Switzerland and I would say there is high value here.

Amazing place - it's an old building, but it's precisely maintained to show its age with dignity, and to maintain it spirit at the same time with making guests feel super comfortable. From check-in to check-out, everything was superb: attentive and helpful staff, aid with parking, the room and the view, the building itself, the breakfast - I haven't had such a sublime hotel experience in a long while. And it's very decently priced, too. Highly recommend for staying in Lausanne.

A huge thank you to the staff. I booked this for my mother and she felt really well looked after and the staff really went out of their way to provide a personal touch including sorting any issues straight away. These things are very important to me when booking for a family member. Also she reported very comfortable bed and she's a tough critic. She has informed me that this is the only hotel I am allowed to book her into now - we'll be back!

The room is large and comfortable. It's only a 5-minute walk from the train station. The reception staff patiently introduced nearby attractions and restaurants. The information was very useful.

Amazing view from the balcony of Lake Geneva. Beautifully clean and comfortable bedrooms. Great location - easily walkable to the Lake, Ouchy, the train station and the shops and restaurants. Brilliant hotel staff. Very friendly & welcoming. Nice touches such as fruit in the room and extra coffee, tea and fresh milk when we requested it.
